World's First Camera

The Macao Museum exhibition A journey through light and shadow: the invention of photography and the earliest photographs of Macau, China (May - August 2009), features the world's first camera, a sliding wooden box (pictured above), along with over 20 cameras of early times on loan from the Nicephore Niepce Museum in France.
